Solution:

Water for pulp & paper mills generally requires a filter rating ranging from 50 μm to 500 μm.Self-cleaning filter(automatic backflushing filter) are generally adopted for papermaking water filtration.As pulp & paper mills consume a large quantity of water, only self-cleaning filters can clean filter elements and remove impurities from water quickly without interrupting the ongoing filtration process.

How automatic backflushing filter working?

Automatic back flushing filter has many filter elements inside.Liquid flows in from the inlet, with some flowing directly from the bottom of the filter element and the rest entering the top of the filter through the middle splitter pipe before flowing in from the top of the filter element. Liquid flows in simultaneously from both the top and bottom openings of the filter element, passing through the inner surface and collecting at the outlet before flowing out. Particulate impurities are trapped on the inner surface of the filter element, accumulating into a filter cake. This causes the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet to gradually increase, indicating that the filter cake has reached its thickness. At this point, the flow rate of the filter element gradually decreases.
