Challenges

The existing setup was highly labor intensive requiring the manual dismantling of the equipment for cleaning. Exposure to hazardous gases and high temperatures were also present during cleaning.

In addition, Low production efficiency， maintenance was becoming increasingly more difficult and costly.

Solution

Working with plant officials, HUATAO filtration experts and Vietnam installed an Internal scraper Self cleaning filter and Multi Bag Filter to remedy the problems associated with the large particles.

HUATAO internal scraper series filters are ideal for highly viscous, abrasive or sticky liquids – including paint, packaging ink.

Based on a remarkably simple concept,The liquid enters the filter through the inlet.During the filtration process,impurities in the water accumulate on the stainless steel filter screen,with impurities gradually building up on the inner layer.

1)Automatic Cleaning —Mode 1 (Timed Cycle)

Motor:Operates and stops according to a preset schedule.When running,the motor drives the shaft to rotate,allowing the scraper to remove impurities accumulated on the filter cartridge .After the set running time is reached,the motor stops working.After the preset stopping time is reached,the motor starts running again .This cycle continues automatically.

Drain Valve:Opens and closes according to preset schedule; The loop control is identical to the motor loop control.

2)Automatic Cleaning —Mode 2 (Differential Pressure Start)

The device is equipped with pressure sensors at both the inlet and outlet to monitor the inlet pressure and outlet pressure.When the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet reaches the preset value,the device automatically transitions from the circulation state of Mode 1 to this mode;the motor activates, and the discharge process begins immediately.

3)Manual Cleaning:

The operating status of the motor and drain valve is controlled entirely via manual switches by worker.

Results

Officials at the paint company report that quality objectives have been improved significantly. Meanwhile, the manual, hazardous cleaning of filters has been essentially eliminated.

As for the aesthetics – a prettier picture is certainly now being painted with the smaller footprint and cleaner operation of the new HUATAO filtration system.
